Venus Demarlo is an amazing artist with a focus on culture using story telling, face painting, puppetry, and African heritage and Orisha dolls. What she really wants to do is create a studio full of fabrics, art, puppets, dolls and (most importantly) education from different regions of Africa.

This is a huge and, I think, very important idea. I know a lot of people who are proud of their culture and would like to see this happen. I know a lot of allies who want to see our friends and loved ones represented. But, in order to make it happen, she needs both money and reputation. For that she needs her stuff to sell and for some gallery showings.
